can you 100% guarantee that there are no hidden rental car costs?
Yes. Because all of our rates are inclusive of GST (New Zealand sales tax), offering
unlimited kilometers and full cover insurance with an excess / deductible of $100
we have no hidden charges. Nearly all extras are completely free like child seats,
New Zealand touring maps and guides, ski / snowboard racks, one-way hires, and AA
roadside assistance. Other extras like mobile phones and GPS Navigation units are
at affordable rates, and Snow chains can be added to your hire at a cheap price.
are there any charges for additional drivers?
No, definitely not. The amount you are charged for the rental car is the amount you
pay, any other drivers may be nominated free of charge when you pick your senior
rental car up.
will I be charged extra depending on my age?
No, we do not charge any extra regardless of age. However the driver must be over
the age of 21 and hold a valid drivers licence.
how much does the collision damage waiver (CDW) insurance cost?
Only $10 a day, making it one of New Zealand rental cars lowest CDW rates available.
When covered with the CDW your insurance excess is reduced from $1000 to nothing.
can I pick up or drop off my car outside of business hours?
Yes, but only if it has been subject to prior arrangement and agreement. For the
after-hour pickups, we require that the customer Rental Agreement is signed and
pre-paid in full at least 24 hours prior to pickup. No additional administration
fee will be charged for after-hour arrangements, however airport parking charges
may apply.
what will happen if I need to cancel my booking or return my senior rental car early?
No refund will apply if you were to return your rental car earlier than expected.
To cancel your rental car we require at least 7 days notice. If this 7 days notice
is not met then we reserve the right to charge a 20% cancellation fee.
can I make a one-way car rental?
Definitely. One-way car hires are our speciality, we can make arrangements with any
of our branch locations with no additional costs. However the hire is subject to
availability.
can I pay for the rental car with my credit card?
Yes. We accept all major credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard, and does not charge
a levy for processing American Express or Diners Club cards.
will you charge a bond?
No. We do not charge any bond as long as the hire is secured or paid for by credit
card. If you are unable to supply a creditcard a bond of up to $1000 may be required
at the start of your hire. This bond can be paid by cash, eftpos or debit card.
can I use my overseas drivers licence?
Yes. As long as your licence is printed in English, however if it isn’t then you
will need to arrange for an International Drivers Licence. Also you must be over
the age of 21 to hire a rental car in New Zealand.
